TOUR HIGHLIGHTS: Lighthouses * Lake Champlain * Burlington * Sunsets

TOUR DESCRIPTION:

Lake Champlain is known for its dramatic sunsets over the Adirondacks. And while this tour is great to take throughout the year, it promises to be spectacular this fall.

The tour will combine those sunsets and lighthouses on the lake to let you create stunning images. We will visit the Burlington Breakwater lighthouses, the Juniper Island Lighthouse, and some others, depending on your pickup location. We will also make other scenic stops along Lake Champlain - most of which you might not otherwise have found. And we will finish the tour by capturing those dramatic sunsets over the Adirondacks.

LENGTH: 4 hours -- the tour will start in late afternoon (around 4:30pm) to take advantage of the light conditions. After you book your tour, we will confirm the exact departure time.

TRANSPORTATION: For this tour, we will provide transportation. After you book your tour, we will confirm pickup locations and times.

SUGGESTED EQUIPMENT AND EXPERTISE:

While this tour is for all levels, participants must have a working knowledge of their camera.  Be sure to bring all your lenses and a tripod if you have them.

We also suggest you bring water and personal snacks.

PHOTOGRAPHIC FOCUS: Our tour guide will take you to the right locations and sights. He will also show you the unique perspectives to capture the perfect shot, and he will teach you the principles of composition. During the tour, our guide can also provide guidance on shutter speeds, aperture settings, depth-of-field, ISO selection and white balance.

While on tour, our tour guide will place emphasis on how to achieve great colors and visual surprises of sunsets on Lake Champlain. In summary, this is a great tour to help you discover your creative vision.

WEATHER: This is an outdoor tour.  Event runs in light drizzle but not heavy rain.  Make sure to bring or wear appropriate clothing for the constantly changing Vermont weather.  We will NOT be able to take photos in heavy rain and we MUST go inside if there is lightning in the area.  If bad weather prevents the tour, we will issue a full refund.

CANCELLATION: Tour can be cancelled by the attendee for a full refund up to 3 days prior to the event.
